Shop Insurance Canada Announces Sponsorship of IBTR in Support of Toronto Brokers

April 5, 2017 - The Insurance Brokers of Toronto Region is a non-profit organization. It represents the interests of independent brokers within the city and the surrounding Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The group also backs provincial (Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario) and national (Insurance Brokers Association of Canada) broker associations.

By working with the IBAO and IBAC, the organization can serve the interests of its members by bringing their message to the wider broker network.

Shop Insurance Canada says it is proud to be sponsoring the interests of the Insurance Brokers of Toronto Region. The company is based in Toronto and is noted for its leading online quote tool that supplies travel, home, and auto insurance rates to customers in Ontario and across Canada.

The company says it will help promote independent brokers and shares the vision of IBTR to bring education and community support to the city. Sponsoring the group helps IBTR connect with brokers in the city and support insurance providers with several outreach and educational programs.

Last month, Shop Insurance Canada announced it has become a member of the Angus Chamber of Commerce. By joining the Angus & Area Chamber of Commerce, Shop Insurance Canada will be able to connect with business community in the region ad network with other organizations.

Also in February, the company announced its membership with the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce.

The company is a subsidiary of Ontario insurance provider RDA Insurance, and is in a stable of companies including RideSharingCarInsurance.ca, Knox Insurance Brokers, Sudbury Insurance Brokers, and My Generation Insurance.

RDA Insurance and Shop Insurance Canada were recently recipients of a CSIO award as a Technology Leader. Each year, the CSIO announces its Technology Leaders. These are insurance companies and outlets that have achieved a score of 100% on the CSIO Technology Scorecard.
