Dr. Chyu is a fellow and life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), a charter member of the Engineering Mechanics Institute of ASCE, a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, with his brief biography in "Who's Who in Science and Engineering," first edition, 1992/1993 (The Marquis Who's Who Publications Board), and has published numerous works related to engineering.
