July 29, 2016 - Everyone can train like a firefighter for a day with the the country's first firefighter-based team building program. Firehouse Team Building was created by the FireZone in Schuamburg, IL and has been a hit for corporate outings and group events. Firehouse Team Building is the first firefighter-based team development program featuring a series of firefighting activities that give a hands-on look into the world of firefighting. The one-of-a-kind curriculum features both individual and team-based activities that challenge guests to think, interact, communicate and have fun. The program is designed to be an unique experience that allows guests of all ages the opportunity to interact and gain inspiration from the deep-rooted history from the City of Chicago and its firefighting traditions.
Firehouse Team Building is an entertaining alternative to traditional programs and challenge courses. The program is currently hosted throughout the Chicagoland area with the option to have a real fire truck at each event. The program is run by local firefighters and the uniqueness has even sparked interest from corporate groups in other parts of the country.
"We have created something totally different that people of all ages are able to enjoy. We are able to provide a low impact and safe experience that gives a fun, hands-on adventure with firefighting," said FireZone Founder, Chris Gantz.
The program includes a variety of firefighting skills, but the highlight looks to always be the rescue scenario, where groups are challenged to work together to navigate a simulated emergency scene and save the training manikins. Guests leave every event with some great pictures, memories and a better sense of teamwork taught by everyday heroes.
