What if I'm not Canadian, can I attend the class?
Yes. We've had calls from the UK, Europe, India, China, USA and even from Dubai in the UAE. Once you attend the 3 day course, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance from The Scalp Micropigmentation Training Center. After you've completed 20 hours of personal practice on live clients, you will receive a Certificate of Completion of the SMP and SMP HD program. We have a live app that you can use from any smart device to upload your photos so that our Master SMP artist can view your progress, give you advise, tips, and we are available 24 hours a day to answer any and all of your SMP related questions. Once you've graduated our program you will be able to call yourself an SMP Artist, and practice in your area, city and country.

How do I become an SMC Franchisee?
Franchisees are chosen after each class. We only accept the best of the best of our own students to ensure all of our present and future clients can expect the same results and professionalism from all of our providers. We offer ongoing training, advertising, marketing, website, and all the necessary support in order for all our franchisees to succeed. If you succeed, we succeed, if you fail, we fail.

Can I fail your SMP Training Course?
We do not fail students, however, you may not pass the course in its entirety. What we offer is more time and practice for students that are having trouble in certain applications, until such time that you are up to speed and meet our strict standards. We realize that everybody learns at a different pace, and one must realize that although the mind is willing, sometimes the body cannot adapt, and this business may not be suited for everyone.

Aren't there other SMP Training Centers that are "recognized worldwide"?
Absolutely not. There are no international certifications, or companies recognized by any authority in Canada, the USA or Worldwide. SMP is not regulated by anybody, or by any legislation and currently falls under permanent makeup. Be very careful with marketing schemes and companies that promise you that you will know everything about SMP in 3 days and be ready to practice this art as soon as you finish up the class. It took Tino Barbone years of practice and trial and error, and if you ask him, he is still learning the art as of today. This is an ever changing industry, and you need to practice this art as much as possible and be aware of the latest technology, tools and techniques. Why is the cost so high for your SMP Training?
Cost is always a concern, and we are aware of this concern from some students. However, The Scalp Micropigmentation Training Center offers a small class size of maximum 3 students, where other SMP Training Centers usually fill up their classes with 8 or 12 or more students in order to maximize their dollars. Can you imagine being in a class of 12 and working on one or two scalps? You would only get a small square to work on. At the SMC, you will have hands on training, and work on a good portion of the scalp, if not a whole scalp. As well, if you've ever been in a large group there is a lot of wasted time on talking, silly questions, arguments, people not getting along, etc. With a small group of max. 3 people, we get straight to work and Tino Barbone ensures that we follow the schedule accordingly. You get what you pay for! Pay less for a subpar SMP training course, and receive subpar training. Pay more for a small group, and receive the best SMP training in the world!

Successful SMP Artists can make up to $20,000 a month or more, depending on how much you want to work and how much you are able to charge in your area. Let me break it down for you. If you charge $3500 for a full frontal and crown area SMP treatment, and you see a moderate number of clients per month - lets say 5 for this example, then $3500 x 5 clients = $17,500. Subtract your expenses (Rent, Hydro, Water, Franchise Fees, Kits, etc), lets round it to $7500 per month, you are left with $10,000 in your pocket per month. Can I ask you how much you are making now? Could you see yourself doing this part time or on the weekends? The return on investment (your SMP Training Course and Kits) is paid back in 2 clients, the rest is profit.

How many franchisees can be in the same area?
We have a very clear map of where our SMP franchisees live and work. In major urban areas we look at the population within that area and then determine how many SMC SMP Artists can work in the same area. For example, Toronto has a population of 2.8 Million people. Thus we can probably manage 5 locations, spread out across Toronto in different areas. However, the population of Kitchener, Ontario is 220,000 people, thus it can only hold 1 or 2 SMC SMP Franchisees. We are very careful not to step on anyone's toes, and we will work with all our franchisees so that we can all be successful.

How come you do not include SMP Scar Camouflage Training in the beginners class?
No SMP student should be working on scars during or right after their receive their certificate. Scars are not normal tissue, and if you use the wrong technique, you can really cause more damage than good. We've seen the results of bad scar camouflage jobs done by other clinics, or inexperienced SMP artists, and that is why we hold a separate course just for SMP scar camouflage. You will work with actual Hair Transplant Scars and use our hair stroke and microdot technique to camouflage the scar, and make it virtually undetectable.
