In January 2006, Exodus Media Group, Inc. (formerly known as MoonChild Enterprises) will unveil its newest publication, ANOINTED Magazine. Touted as a publication that is fearless in its approach, ANOINTED abandons conventional methods found in religious literature in favor of tackling real, and somewhat taboo, subjects like sex, plastic surgery, as well as beauty, fashion, fitness, and entertainment. Headed by prolific author, speaker, and entrepreneur, Tracey Michae’l Lewis, ANOINTED promotes the infusion of Christian values in the familiar interests of fashion, music, careers, and relationships of women of color ages 21-45. This aggressive periodical is devoted to featuring compelling articles and commentary regarding today’s issues with a Biblical worldview. Similar in sophistication and aesthetics as current newsstand successes such as Essence and Vibe, this magazine will meet the needs of the whole woman—-physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
The cover story of the January launch issue features Gospel recording artist, John Gray, in a powerful and intimate interview on his life, music, and struggles in the ministry. Other feature articles include, “Can a Saved Woman be Sexy?” and “It’s Lonely at the Top: A Spirit of Alienation.”
