January 25, 2006 (Las Vegas, NV) – A regular at the weekly Aces.com NFL Poker Tournament has won the grand prize, an all-expense paid trip to Super Bowl XL in Detroit. Throughout the NFL season, Aces.com has awarded a pair of NFL tickets to the winner of their weekly online poker tournaments. Tom S. of Amsterdam, New York won the last tournament of the season and the biggest prize.“I played in the tournament just about every week, but I’m really just an average card player,” said the excited winner. “When it got down to two players, I was well behind and I just tried to double up a couple of times. The other players were all great – but we all wanted that grand prize!”
Tom’s prize package includes airfare from New York, hotel and tickets to the game for him and a guest.
“I will take my son or my brother to the game I guess,” said Tom. “I still can’t believe I won!”
“My favorite team is the Redskins. Maybe next year…,” Tom said when asked who he’d be rooting for in Detroit. “My advice for betting the Super Bowl would be the team with the better defense is a stronger play.”
In addition to the NFL Poker Tournament winner, the retro-Vegas style casino/sportsbook is also sending their ‘Fan of the Season’ to the Super Bowl.
“Every wager was an entry in our free ‘Fan of the Season’ contest,” explained Rene Queseda, Aces.com Brand Manager. “We did a random draw and pulled Robert H. of Alabama’s name. Lucky guy – he gets to experience the biggest sporting event of the year first hand. I hope he’s got a couple of bucks riding on it cause I’d say he’s on a winning streak!”
The ‘Fan of the Season’ will also be flown to Detroit and Aces.com will also provide accommodation and game tickets.
Odds for this weekend’s Conference Finals as well as dozens of Super Bowl odds and props can be found at Aces.com/Sportsbook.
