Codie Prevost Receives 6 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards Nominations!!Including: Fan’s Choice Entertainer, Male Vocalist, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Rising Star and Song of the Year (Composer).
Codie Prevost is a genuine person with a down to earth perspective, who’s main objective is to share his music, build his career using his talents and work at something he loves. These recent nominations are an important step towards reaching that goal. Codie is overwhelmed by the support of his peers and fans and is grateful to be included with such artists as Anthony Kelly, Brad Johner, Poverty Plainsmen, and Jessica Robinson.
Being included in the nominees creates an opportunity for Codie to showcase his talents at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards weekend being held March 17-19 in Nipawin.
Codie’s debut album “The Road Ahead” has earned him 3 of the 6 nominations. It features the singles “Not Just the Beer Talkin”, nominated for song and single of the year, as well as his most recent release “The Road Ahead”.
“The Road Ahead” nominated for album of the year was recorded in Nashville with producer Steve Fox. It includes 12 original songs on which 11 Codie had a hand in writing, along with other talented Canadian songwriters such as Tim Taylor, Steve Fox, Jay Semko and Alain Leblanc.
Codie and his debut album continue to gain exposure nationally and internationally receiving radio airplay on over 105 stations in Europe and Canada.

Codie tours using the grassroots approach to promote his album and build his fan base. He has performed at a wide variety of venues from small establishments to larger events as well as opening for such artists as Charlie Major, Ronnie Prophet, Brad Johner and The Good Brothers.
