The mid-20th century furniture supplier, well-known in the New York Tri-State area, is relocating to a bigger and better-stocked showroom in Mid-Manhattan. The previous showroom, which allowed people to visit and view for free now has expanded its space for a more spacious room in a close-by location. Visitors can also visit the new showroom with the option of purchasing there.The new showroom will double as a store and is designed by Homepolish, another New York-based interior design company. Homepolish also publishes a magazine and has a network of over 400 designers.
Manhattan Home Design sells a wealth of modernist furniture, namely reproductions of groundbreaking furniture designs from the 20th century like the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman, the Arco Lamp, the Noguchi Table, Tulip table along with others. Other top-selling items include the Egg Chair, the Swan chair and pieces by renowned 20th-century designers such as Arne Jacobsen. The furniture is of premium standard, with most products containing a five-year warranty and longer-expected shelf-life.
The revamped showroom is slated to feature more sought-after furniture items such as the newly stocked Eames Hang-It-All. The Hang-It-All is a reproduction of the Eames unique network of conjoined wall hangers, capable of holding multiple clothes and other items. Another new piece of furniture that Manhattan Home Design proudly is introducing to both its online shop and its showroom is the Hans Wegner Shell Chair, a reproduction of the CHO7 Shell Chair. This wooden chair features a distinct design on its seat composed of two opposite flaps.
