February 24, 2016 - San Marcos, CA - Grandon Village Dental is very happy to announce that Dr. Gerald W. Bailey recently traveled to Micronesia to volunteer his dental services to the underserved community.

"It's very important to me to do what I can to give back and help people who really need it," Dr. Bailey said. "And it is always a rewarding experience."

Dr. Bailey was in Micronesia for two weeks and spent 6-8 hours each day providing emergency dental services, including extractions. The trip was organized by his local church group, which regularly makes these types of trips to offer aid and support.

"I did the same thing in Jamaica last year," Dr. Bailey said. "I make an effort to help areas in need at least once a year."

Dr. Bailey wants everyone to get the best dental care, no matter where they live, and he hopes his efforts are helping. Living with tooth pain affects the everyday lives of people. A bad tooth can limit nutritional requirements or provoke digestion problems, extracting a bad tooth can make a significant difference in someone's general health.

"I'm not sure where I'll be headed next," he added. "But I'm already looking forward to the next place and being able to offer as much help as I can."
