Bookkeeping Buds Debuts, Advancing Support and Offering a Peer Community for Accounting Professionals

February 1, 2016 - Bookkeeping Buds announced the official launch of business and a new community aimed at empowering bookkeepers through peer support. Cindy Schroeder, Founder and CEO, is the owner of Bright Bookkeeping LLC which began in 2007. She launched Bookkeeping Buds to offer a more holistic approach to the profession of accounting with a focus on technology married with personal health & wellness.

Bookkeeping Buds is a national community for bookkeepers to learn and share ideas in order to build confidence in each other to grow a stronger practice. It is a combination of an online community with a forum as well as monthly in-person meetings. There is a requirement to set a business goal each quarter that member firms will be held accountable to. Bookkeeping Buds provides a location to find out about ongoing education through a calendar with conferences and upcoming webinars. There is also a member directory for small business owners to access when they are looking for assistance. An annual boutique retreat is offered to give members the opportunity to learn even more about business and health/wellness.

"When I started my bookkeeping service in 2007, I was looking for a group of bookkeepers that I could learn from and share ideas with. I did not find exactly what I wanted so I decided to create my own community called Bookkeeping Buds." Schroeder continued, "I love seeing the relationships that build between bookkeepers in the group. They help each other to do things like trying new products that they may not have without knowing they have this team of support behind them. Together we can all be more successful and do more to help our clients."

The 2nd Annual Bookkeeping Buds Retreat will be held at Northern Illinois University NIU Naperville on June 21st and 22nd, 2016. The event will be limited to 100 attendees to foster networking in a smaller setting without missing out on the learning opportunities available at the larger conferences.
