For 9 years, Dr. Alejandro López Ortega has been specializing in helping bariatric patients. With this much experience, he's become highly skilled, performing all kind of bariatric procedures by laparoscopic approach. Dr. Alejandro López and his team at the newly founded "ALO BARIATRICS" have performed over 5,000 weight loss surgery procedures and have one of the lowest rates of post-surgical complications in the profession.

"I'm not afraid when I'm in the operating room, I feel that is my field, where I am able to do what I'm good at. I've treated patients with many different situations, such as transplant patients, patients with heart disease, patients with a very high BMI, those with previous open bariatric procedures, and in all of them the outcome has been great. I have a fantastic medical team which includes my anaesthesiologists and internists. I feel they help me to do better work by being at the top of their profession as well."

Dr. López realized the importance of not just offering the best care for his patients, but also the best facilities for an overall better experience. He performs bariatric procedures in 3 different locations in Mexico, and all three of them are certified hospitals. Hospital San Javier Riviera at Puerto Vallarta. Hospital Vida at Tijuana. Hospital Real San José at Guadalajara.

During the month he travels between these 3 different locations, performing almost every day bariatric procedures, resting just one or two days a week.

"I don't see bariatric surgery as a job, it is my passion! I love what I do and I like to do it well. Traveling is not a problem for me, over the years I have gotten used to it. I like to give my patients what they like, where they want it. Each locations environment is different, but every hospital I use is of the best quality, and for me that is very important."

Dr Alejandro Lopez founded ALO BARIATRICS with the goal of not just offering surgeries himself, but to train other surgeons to become renowned bariatric surgeons, sharing his passion and caring ways with their patients.

"My goal is to help patients with obesity. For me it is a great experience. To see the outcome and the smiles as they improve their life is my reward. I feel I have a gift in the bariatric surgery area. I like to use it to teach more surgeons to help more patients, to be caring, responsible and sensitive with them." Says Dr. López.

Dr. Salvador Ramirez is one of his right hand surgeons. He has been working by his side for 5 years. He has become highly skilled as well and now offers bariatric surgeries himself with great outcomes.
