Hotel on Rivington Earns Fin On HotelShark.com

HotelShark.com, the world's most-trusted online lodging guide, bestowed the Fin Award for Service Quality on the Hotel on Rivington earlier this week. Last May, the New York Times advised travelers to consult HotelShark.com to “learn as much as you can about the accommodations.”

A recent guest of the Hotel on Rivington "highly" recommended the spot, calling the "awesome" guestrooms "very quiet," the "polite" staff "not overbearing," and the views "incredible." The property is located on Manhattan's Lower East Side.

HotelShark.com awards fins to hotels that are reviewed, on the whole, positively by guests. A fin appears as a small, gray icon to the left of a hotel’s name within a given city index. The fin system gives travelers a quick way to find well-liked hotels within a given city.

The Hotel on Rivington is the seventh New York City property that currently wears a fin. The other six are the Belvedere Hotel, the Herald Square Hotel, the InterContinental Barclay, the Lucerne, the Muse Hotel, and the Roger Smith Hotel. All seven are in Manhattan.

The Hotel on Rivington is the second fin recipient of 2006. Last week, HotelShark.com awarded a fin to the Malmaison Edinburgh, in Scotland.
