Comfortex Employees Donate Over $8,000 to Hurricane Relief

MAPLEWOOD, NY - Comfortex Window Fashions, a leading innovative manufacturer and fabricator of custom window treatment products for global distribution, is proud to announce that its employees collectively donated a total of $8,620 to hurricane relief charities following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

The entire Comfortex sum was passed on to the Hunter Douglas Foundation, the charitable arm of Hunter Douglas, which is the parent company of Comfortex Window Fashions. Hunter Douglas matched these and all funds collected from 2,300 individuals and companies dollar for dollar. In all, over $391,000 was raised and a total of $800,000 was contributed to two relief agencies: AmeriCares and American Harvest. Both agencies pledged that 100% of donated monies would go directly to hurricane survivor services without any used for administrative costs.
