Hoboken, NJ — Gala Pilates announces its move to a new location on First Street in Hoboken. On January 14, 2006, Gala Pilates moved from 303 First Street to 262 First Street between Willow and Park Avenues. The larger studio space will help Gala Pilates accommodate its expanding client base by providing additional classes, workshops, and private sessions.Designed to feel more like a retreat than a workout studio, the 1200 square-foot space has hardwood floors, 15-foot ceilings, chandeliers with Tuscan glass, dovetail walls and Venetian red accents. Gala Pilates offers one-hour private sessions and semi-private mat sessions throughout the week, including Core Challenge, Dynamic Balance, Revive, Power Fitness Circle, and Dynamic Balance. Starting in January, Gala Pilates will start hosting two Saturday workshops a month: Core Principles of Pilates and workshops that are designed to facilitate the growth toward greater ease of movement, flexibility and strength for optimum health.
“The response since we opened has been overwhelming and wonderful. We wanted to expand but stay on First Street, which is very convenient for our clients and still quiet and peaceful," says Susan Gala, owner of Gala Pilates. “Although the space is larger, it's very open and warm. We're excited to begin the new year in such an inspiring space.”
Since November of 2004, Gala Pilates has served the Hoboken area with premium Pilates classes taught by highly qualified practitioners certified in Stott Pilates and the Kane School of Core Integration. With over 25 years experience teaching fitness, Susan Gala emphasizes the benefits of the mind/body connection within her Pilates practice, which is based in a spa-like environment.
