September 22, 2015 - "My Special Treasures", a new book by Doraine Bourne, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.Rebecca, a young girl living in an orphanage, finds the time to appreciate all of the wonderful things around her. There are plenty of activities, lots of friends, and magic in nature all around her. But among all of these special gifts is the one to which she most looks forward-writing letters to her mother.

About the Author: Doraine Bourne presently resides on the beautiful Marco Island in Florida. She grew up on a farm in Jamaica, West Indies, where she lived with her parents, her brother, and her sister. She attended an all-girls high school and an all-girls teachers college. After college, she taught at an elementary school before migrating to the United States, where she has continued her teaching profession. Doraine has two children: a son and a daughter.
Doraine loves to read, write, and cook. She hopes to own an orphanage in the future.
