MV Transportation, Inc. Names Torian A. Richardson Vice President of Global Strategy & Operations

August 14, 2015 - MV Transportation, Inc. is pleased to announce Torian A. Richardson has joined the company as Vice President of Global Strategy and Operations. In this newly created role, Torian will report directly to the Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer and will be responsible for leading MV Global's transformation to technology driven transport services and events outside of the United States. Torian will lead the MV Global's expansion in existing overseas markets. He also is charged with developing opportunities to leverage MV's four decades of transit and events management experience in new international markets.

Torian joins to MV with more than 15 years of diverse experience in developing and delivering transformative solutions to businesses around the world, having lived and worked on four continents and traveled to over 35 countries. Prior to joining MV, Torian was President and founder of TORIANITE, Inc., a consulting firm based in Beijing, China. The firm facilitated business partnership between Asian and Western organizations, and recruited the Managing Director team for Guanxi Universal, an internet start-up company.

Prior to his work in Asia, Torian served as Business Solutions Director for the continent of Africa for Pearson Education. Based in Lagos, Nigeria, he was responsible for establishing partnerships, shaping solutions and developing pricing & commercial terms with regional governments and the World Bank. He also led the team which created the first profitable service-based business in Nigeria for Pearson and was selected to the Emerging Leaders Program in Nairobi, Kenya. Torian began his career in publishing with Houghton Mifflin and finance with Northern Trust Company in Chicago, IL.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Benedictine University, completed Harvard Business School's High Potential Leadership Program, and earned a Master's degree in International Development from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
