Lehman and Wageman of Lehman, Lee & Xu selected by Who’s Who Law as the Only Expert Legal Counsels for Franchise Law in China

Jan. 13, 2006 – Edward Lehman and Richard Wageman of the China based law firm Lehman, Lee & Xu have been selected by Who’s Who Legal as the only expert franchise legal counsels in China.

Who’s Who Legal will publish their selections of Edward Lehman and Richard Wageman in their 2006 annual publication of trustworthy lawyers in the field of international business law. Who’s Who Legal is an independent research company that has published information about lawyers since 1996. They have chosen Lehman and Wageman as experts in the field of franchise establishment in China from a list of over five thousand lawyers in over ninety nations. They publish this information to help people find lawyers and, more importantly, to prevent people from receiving poor legal counsel.

The lawyers that are included in the list and who are specially chosen as experts in their fields are largely chosen by a peer review process. Who’s Who Legal ask lawyers in each field about which other lawyers they would recommend. Then the recommended lawyers are given questionnaires and their responses are compared with legal and financial media and corporate counsel. Then a preliminary listing of lawyers is created and circulated among lawyers for comment. Finally, those lawyers who are selected after this process are interviewed before a final decision is made.
