Local Enrolled Agent Becomes Member of American Society of Tax Problem Solvers

March 31, 2015 - Midlothian, TX – Rod Vander Kooi, EA and owner of VK Group, LLC, has recently received membership into the ASTPS and is pursuing further certifications to extend his tax assistance services.

Rod Vander Kooi is an Enrolled Agent with decades of experience in helping clients solve complex tax problems. In an effort to provide even more comprehensive services to clients in his community, Rod has recently become a member of the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers and is working to reach certifications to compliment his EA licensure by the end of 2015.

The ASTPS is a non-profit organization, populated by CPAs, lawyers, and EAs, that is dedicated to providing continuing education, in the way of webinars and tax resolution courses, for their professional members.

Rod explains, "By joining the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers, I'm growing the toolbox I use to help clients deal with troublesome tax issues. I'm also given access to education opportunities that present benefits to the tax clients I help. By furthering my knowledge, I'm also furthering the ways and means at my disposable to assist taxpayers in my community."

In addition to educational materials for tax professionals, the ASTPS also offers certification for becoming a Tax Resolution Specialist. In order to earn this designation, an Enrolled Agent or CPA must demonstrate a history of excellence in helping clients solve varying tax problems, as well as a commitment to superior, ethical service.

"My goal is to reap the maximum benefit of membership and affiliation with The American Society of Tax Problem Solvers, so that I can pass extra knowledge and confidence onto the people I work with," Rod adds. "By pursuing Certified Tax Resolution Specialist status, I can provide clients with extra assurance about the ways in which I can help them untangle tax messes."
