Vodien Adopts Industry-Leading PRTG Monitoring Technology from Paessler

February 24, 2015 - Vodien, one of Singapore's largest cloud hosting providers, announced today that they have adopted Paessler's PRTG solution to monitor network health, availability and be instantly alerted on any network bottlenecks, traffic congestion, or system outages. This allows Vodien to provide a consistently high level of service to their customers, as network-related emergencies can be immediately detected and acted upon.

PRTG Network Monitor (PRTG, successor of Paessler Router Traffic Grapher), is a network monitoring software developed by Paessler to provide network administrators with a web-based application to monitor early signs of system outages, diagnose system-related issues before users can even discover them, and ultimately minimize network bottlenecks and downtimes.

PRTG Network Monitor verifies system availability by using different methods, such as pings from SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol), or WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation). In addition, it has specific sensors for checking DNS (Domain Name Servers), HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), and Remote Desktop availability. PRTG is used by more than 150,000 network administrators worldwide to monitor their servers, LANs (Local Area Network), WANs (Wide Area Network), websites, electronic devices and many more.
