Pressure Absolute Sensor for Exploring Gas Laws in Schools
January 11, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Education News
ScienceScope introduce the Pressure Absolute sensor for schools. As one of the UK’s leading developers of datalogging equipment that provides technology-based science learning solutions, ScienceScope have established a new Pressure Absolute sensor specifically for investigations from 0 to 200kPa. The Pressure Absolute sensor is ideal for the investigation of gas laws. It measures absolute pressure so that in a normal room environment it will measure the atmospheric pressure that is approximately 100kPa. It can therefore measure both a vacuum and higher pressures.
Measure chemical reaction rates, explore Gas Laws (Ideal, Charles', Boyle's), study vapour Pressure vs. Temperature. When used with a Volume sensor it is easy to investigate the relationship between pressure and volume. Ideal to give you practical demonstration on various gases and discussions on air quality, atmosphere, how stars are formed and pollution.
Classroom investigations with the ScienceScope Pressure Absolute sensor can help give practical demonstrations on how to measure gases. Demonstrating the changes in environmental factors, and aid you in discussions on air quality, life on earth, how chemicals effect living things and our lives, what we can do to change this to enhance life.
Specifications:
· Range: 0 to 200kPa
· Resolution: 1kPa
· Maximum recommended recording interval: 50µs
