Texas Laparoscopic Consultants Launches New Website Specializing in Gastric Sleeve
January 28, 2015 (PRLEAP.COM) Health News
January 28, 2015 - The site features a variety of resources that can help patients determine if they are candidates for gastric sleeve. One of the website's most popular features is a BMI calculator. Individuals can input their height and weight and the calculator will determine if they may benefit from a gastric sleeve procedure. Along with the calculator, TLC's website provides a comprehensive list of requirements for bariatric surgery patients and a before-and-after gallery showcasing patient videos, photos and testimonials.TLC's new website also offers information on a multitude of payment options to help alleviate the stress associated with having gastric sleeve surgery. Many patients are unaware that their current Medicare or private insurance plans may cover some - and in a few cases, the entire - cost of the procedure. TLC also strives to serve patients who lack medical coverage entirely, with affordable finance options provided by BLISPay Patient Financing Program. Qualified applicants can expect no down payment and a revolving credit line of up to $20,000. TLC prides itself on helping patients have the life-changing procedure of their dreams, no matter what their financial situation.
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website, "65% (Texas adults) were overweight, with a Body Mass Index of 30 or greater…31% of (Texas) adults were obese, with a Body Mass Index of 30 or greater." This overwhelming statistic speaks to the severity of the obesity epidemic in Texas. Obesity continues to be one of the leading causes of life-threatening conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes and, according to the American Heart Association, heart disease. If you feel you may currently be a candidate for gastric sleeve surgery or would like to investigate alternative options, please visit TLC's new website www.gastricsleevetx.com for more information.
