Providence Journal Commends Hotelshark.com

January 10, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
The Providence Journal newspaper has joined the New York Times and The Independent (UK) in singling HotelShark.com for recognition among travel websites. Last Sunday, the paper recommended HotelShark.com for travelers who "don't trust either agents or the hotels' own web pages when it comes to choosing accomodations."

The article, entitled "Get Reviews On Resorts from Guests," ran in the Providence Journal on Sunday, January 8, 2005. The piece is the first major newspaper endorsement for HotelShark.com of 2006.

HotelShark.com received a record number of commendations from newspapers in 2005. In January, The Independent (UK) called it one of the ten best travel websites in the world. In May, the New York Times advised business travelers to Europe to visit HotelShark.com to “learn as much as you can about the accommodations.”

HotelShark.com began covering Providence hotels last year. In addition to Providence, the site's Rhode Island coverage includes sections for Block Island, Newport, and Westerly.

Neither HotelShark.com nor its parent SharkPage is affiliated with any particular hotel property, municipality, or state.
