Bahraini Author Launches Official Website & Holds Event

Bookworms will have the opportunity to get their hands on a signed copy of the best-selling, award-winning novel, QuixotiQ, when Bahraini author Ali Al Saeed appears at a special book event on Thursday, January 12th.

The event will be held at Booksplus, Seef Mall branch, from 11.30am to 1.30pm. Al Saeed will be signing copies of his debut novel, the very first written by a Bahraini author directly in English.

QuixotiQ, published by iUniverse, was released to critical-acclaim in the summer of 2004. Upon its local release later that year, it became a national best-seller and received the Bahrain 2004 Outstanding Book of the Year Award.

“The book launch at Booksplus was a huge success and a remarkable experience,” said Al Saeed. “I’ve always wanted to do another one because both Booksplus management and staff as well as customers have treated me great and I am grateful for their support.”

“Hopefully, this will be another opportunity to meet with my fans and also introduce my work to a wider audience.”

QuixotiQ is available in paperback from Booksplus for BD5.5 and through all major online bookstores for $13.95.

Ali Al Saeed has also recently launched his new official website. The website (www.alialsaeed.com) contains a variety of information and sections such as news and updates, publications, latest events and activities, press related material and biographical details.
