COLUMBUS, Ohio – NEBASE has chosen PriceMiner™ by GoAntiques.com (www.GoAntiques.com) as the preferred research tool for its member libraries to use when identifying or researching prices for art, antiques and collectibles.

In an exclusive agreement, NEBASE will offer PriceMiner™. (www.PriceMiner.com) to the 153 libraries that are part of the NEBASE library network. The 29-year-old, non-profit library membership organization offers a variety of services in the areas of cataloging, reference and resource sharing to Nebraska libraries.

With PriceMiner™, users of public and special libraries can access more than 23 million records and 10 million images going back eight years and covering 5,200 categories and subcategories in art, antiques and collectibles.

"Priceminer fits the bill,” said Kate Ostenrude, director of the Neligh (Nebraska) Public Library. “Finally, I found a database I could afford that would actually be used by my patrons. The information on PriceMiner is comprehensive and I think it's easier to navigate than eBay.”

“NEBASE’s recommendation of PriceMiner for its member libraries addresses a need expressed by their library patrons for help in identifying and pricing art, antiques and collectibles,” said Jim Kamnikar, president and chief executive officer of GoAntiques.com. “Identification is always the first step in pricing an antique, and our 10 million images provide an unprecedented resource to library members.”

Through custom features designed specially for library use, patrons can conduct a search by simply typing keywords or by using categories. PriceMiner™ then searches its huge database of information from eBay, GoAntiques.com and TIAS.com and returns information organized by lowest to highest price, highest to lowest price or only items with images. PriceMiner™ also reports information for same or similar items.
Libraries can offer either limited or unlimited access to PriceMiner™. Not only can PriceMiner™ for Libraries be used on computers at the library, but remote access can also be made available if desired by libraries.
