NeverEndingWonder Radio Announces Plans for Expanded Programming in 2006

NeverEndingWonder Radio, an internet only radio station specializing in experimental, avant-garde, rare & hard to find music and comedy announced today their plans for an expanded programming lineup in 2006. Broadcasting continuously since March, 2001 on a large internet radio network, the station recently became a completely independent station broadcasting live 24/7. In addition to their wide variety of freeform programming, they plan to soon offer a number of scheduled specialty programs.


"Our music library currently contains over 15,000 items," explained Station Manager Lee Widener. "In addition, we have thousands of record albums, 45s, 78s, cassettes and CDs just waiting to be put into play. I used to run five different stations just so all the music could get exposure. That got to be a bit much, so I've scaled back to one station, but I still have all this music that needs to get heard. The solution is to add specialty programming to NeverEndingWonder Radio that can compliment our daily freeform programming."

The weekly lineup will include programs focussing on folk & traditional music, international music, new age music, ambient/space music, a mellow Sunday morning show, the return of their much missed Experimental Audio Matrix program; and a new live hosted show, "Uncle Ozma's Odditorium" which will focus on strange, bizarre, avant-garde, experimental, twisted and funny music, comedy and spoken word weirdness.

Other plans include an indie music spotlight, which will play weekdays and will feature the hundreds of independent and unsigned artists that have submitted their music to NeverEndingWonder Radio over the past four and one half years. There will also be an automated system whereby listeners can request songs. "With such a large library, a listener might never hear a particular song again," explained DJ Uncle Ozma, "This way, if there's something that catches their fancy they can hear it again."

"We should be adding the first regulaly scheduled program this month," Lee Widener said, "With others following soon after."
