Marlton, NJ – Oct 18, 2014: Dynamic Defense Materials, LLC (DDM), a small business; introduces their newest products for more domestic security applications. "With the rise of active shooter situations and the ever-growing threat of workplace violence, domestic terrorism, robberies and lone gunmen attacks recently, DDM has been asked to take the current technology and our expertise to implement this protection for more domestic applications." says Joe Dimond, DDM General Manager.
Hideaway Ballistic Furniture Inserts: DDM has designed ballistic inserts that can easily be installed under any desk for ballistic protection in an active shooter situation. This is a low cost, simple to install item that is easy to conceal and capable of protecting against large caliber bullets. It's the perfect solution for schools, offices, Federal Buildings, courtrooms, council chambers and home offices.
McCurdy's Armor Mobile Ballistic Shield: "Ballistic shields have been used for some time now, but most are made of high cost, low weight materials in order to be handheld, leaving large portions of the body exposed to gunfire. They are also incapable of handling multiple shots from most readily available weapons." said Dimond. DDM has taken the McCurdy's Armor capabilities for protection, flexibility and ease of deployment and made it into a Mobile Shield that is efficient at blocking entire hallways with the best possible ballistic protection within seconds. Whether in a school, courthouse, Federal building or any other facility, the operators can easily walk directly at the assailant without fear of personal harm. It is equipped with protected gunports to fire from a secure location and eliminate the threat.
McCurdy's Armor Mobile Ballistic Wall: By using the same materials that have been used for guardposts around the world and incorporating the newly designed mobile shield base, they are now able to easily protect interior locations by simply rolling a ballistic wall into the required location. The ballistic wall can be used to close off hallways when there is a VIP event in one section of a facility. It can be used to protect windows or walls when there is a threat against personnel inside by simply rolling it into place as needed. It can even be used to place in front of walls or doors making any area, from a bedroom closet to a designated office within a building, into a "safe room" within minutes and without the need for construction. When not in use, it can easily collapse and be stored away. Using the same concept and some concealment techniques, this can also be made into security desks, armored podiums and other protective equipment.
Dimond states "Interest in all of the products has been tremendous and we are constantly improving designs to meet specific customer needs. It's unfortunate that the times have called for people to start thinking this way, but we are honored to be in position to help our law enforcement personnel and fellow citizens protect themselves. These simple, flexible and relatively low cost items can add significant protection in homes, schools, offices, courthouses, Federal Buildings, Embassies, Medical Facilities and anywhere else there may be a potential threat."
