Tata Interactive Systems announce London’s Tata Learning Forum 2006
January 06, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Tata Interactive Systems (TIS), the leading global e-learning producer, has announced plans for its second, annual Tata Learning Forum (TLF) in London. The event will be held at the Millennium Conference Centre, in Kensington, on 6th April 2006 and will be followed by a dinner at the nearby Bombay Brasserie.Last February, some 150 of Europe’s top exponents of e-learning, including a large number of TIS clients, met at the inaugural TLF to discuss the industry’s key trends and issues.
Attendance at the TLF is by invitation only, making it the most prestigious e-learning conference in Europe.
“Over the next few months, not only will we be refining our TLF guest list – to ensure that the key people among the e-learning user community are invited to take part in the TLF – but we’ll also be asking those on the guest list to tell us their key issues for this industry today,” commented Alan Samuel, head of the TLF team in the UK.
Samuel added: “The TLF in London is part of a worldwide series of conferences organised by TIS. TIS held a TLF in Boston, in the USA, in September, and one in Sydney, Australia, in November.
“Each of these conferences – at which attendance is by invitation only – examine important issues in e-learning that relate to each of these regions, in which TIS is active.”
In addition, delegates to these TLFs around the world have access to a TLF website, which helps to build an online community of best practice through enabling members to network, sharing their knowledge and discussing key learning issues. According to Samuel, the online community is an extension of the ‘on-ground’ event that will enable the members to interact with each other at all times – not just at each TLF conference.
“So far, our experience with these events shows that, while there are regional differences in approach, the key themes within e-learning are how to make learning relevant to the needs of the business; how to measure the impact of this learning on the business, and – increasingly – how to deliver this learning efficiently and effectively as and when required, at the learner’s point of need,” Samuel explained.
“Those who attend a TLF – in the UK, USA or Australia – will be able not only to network with their peers in that particular region but will also be able to join the growing number of ‘blue chip’ TIS clients throughout the world who network and benchmark with each other.”
Invitations to the TLF in London will be going out in February. Those who would like to be considered to receive an invitation to this prestigious event – and the accompanying dinner at one of London’s top restaurants – should contact Alan Samuel at TIS on 020 7235 8281, or email alans@tatinteractive.com as soon as possible.
