Background of the Android app development. Since there are many overseas Timepeaks users, we decided to release an Android smartphone app as a start, seeing that Android makes up a large portion of the smartphone market overseas. At the end of the year, we plan to release an iOS version as well.

When you launch the app, you can browse items that are about to end. Users can quickly browse through valuable wristwatches. The current app is available in Japanese and English. Simple translations are available for the other 6 languages. (simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish)

Currently, more than 70% of the winning bids are from outside Japan. Users are taking part in Timepeaks auctions from 32 countries, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and France.

About Timepeaks
The service was established in 2012 at Shibuya Tokyo Japan, specialized in luxury pre-owned watches. Currently items can be submitted for auction on Timepeaks only within Japan, and in order to submit them the products only have to be delivered to Timepeaks (in Shibuya, Tokyo). Timepeaks mainly deals used Rolex, Omega, Panerai, Breitling, IWC, Grand Seiko and other luxury expensive watches. Currently, Rolex Datejust, Omega Speedmaster, Omega Seamaster, Grand Seiko is very popular among overseas users. These brands sell well in Timepeaks. 8 languages available and the depreciation of Yen is another reason we should actively target the overseas market.

Currently items can be submitted for auction on Timepeaks only within Japan, and in order to submit them the products only have to be delivered to Timepeaks (in Shibuya, Tokyo). It is possible to easily sell your items online without having to set up your own sales process or deal with customers. We only charge the buyer a 5% handling fee. Before the winner of the Timepeaks auction buys the watch, it is appraised for authenticity by an expert, so the auction only handles 100% authentic products. And while it is an online auction, a feature of Timepeaks is that the products can be inspected beforehand in Shibuya.
