Laird Conrad returns home seeking employment to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a history teacher. About the Author:
Hazel Fritz was born in Lavelle, a small town in the Pennsylvania coal regions, but, due to job relocations, moved to Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. She and her husband are retirees of the Hershey Company. They are green thumbers; she calls gardening "digging in the dirt." Their produce and the yard of beautiful flowers are the envy of many. Due to health problems, they have had to discontinue their favorite vacations camping on Chincoteague Island, Virginia.
Hazel is a person of many talents, i.e. singing, playing piano, sewing, quilt making, play pinochle, cooking and baking, with which she delights her large family of five children, eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She is a lover of dogs, especially Labs.
Unlike most authors, Hazel is not a reader, aside from the newspaper or any religious literature that helps her in teaching Sunday School. To her, teaching is one way to give back to God for His many blessings.
