Fort Myers Dentist Receives AGD Fellowship Award

July 10, 2014 - Fort Myers 7-1-30-The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is pleased to announce that Angela M. Harney DMD, FAGD, of Fort Myers, Florida, received the association's Fellowship Award during the AGD 2014 Annual Meeting & Exhibits, which took place June 26 to 29 in Detroit.The AGD Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality dental care by remaining current in their profession. To earn this prestigious honor, Dr. Harney completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam, and fulfilled three years of continuous membership in the AGD.
As a Fellowship Award recipient, Dr. Harney joins more than 6,400 active AGD Fellows who have gone above and beyond the basic requirements to care for their patients' oral health.
"We are proud to honor Dr. Harney for her commitment in reaching this lofty goal," says AGD President W. Carter Brown, DMD, FAGD. "She has distinguished herself professionally among her peers and is a role model for both her fellow dentists and the Fort Myers community."
Dr. Harney graduated from the University of Florida in 2007 and currently practices dentistry in Fort Myers. She and her fiancé, Justin Nash, are engaged to be married this September.
