Bollywood Hollywood Production-distributed Film “Morning Raga” Submitted To 78th Annual Academy Awards

The 2005 Indian film “Morning Raga,” has been officially accepted for submission toward nomination in various categories by the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences Los Angeles for the upcoming Oscars®. Bollywood Hollywood Production, Inc. handled marketing and International distribution of this film.
This touching human drama stars Shabana Azmi, Perizaad Zorabian, Prakash Rao and, Lilette Dubey, and was directed by Mahesh Dattani which centers around a village tragedy that ultimately brings lives together through the power of music. The New York Times reviewed “…the performances of Carnatic music, Southern India's classical form, are heaven.”
USA based Bollywood Hollywood Production Inc. CEO, Prashant Shah, is thrilled that “Morning Raga” is in consideration. “A larger company may not show as much interest in marketing and distributing a small film like ‘Morning Raga.’ But for Bollywood Hollywood Production, which is a relatively small company, it is a huge accomplishment to have the Academy take notice.”
The official announcement of all Oscar®-nominated films will be made January 31, 2005. The 78th Annual Academy Awards® will be presented March 5, 2006.
