Anapol Schwartz Attorney Elected President of Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association

June 20, 2014 - PHILADELPHIA - Anapol Schwartz Shareholder Lawrence Cohan was named President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association (PTLA) on June 16.

As PTLA President, Cohan will lead the way for more than 1,000 trial lawyers in Eastern Pennsylvania who are working to help create legislation and preserve the laws to protect the rights of innocent victims. Members of the Association work with legislators, judges and other progressive groups on behalf of every Pennsylvanian.

"I am honored to have been sworn in as President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association," Cohan said. "The Trial Lawyers have been the lone voice for victims' rights for decades and will continue to be. We will persevere, and we're proud of who we are and what we do."

Cohan has obtained million-dollar jury verdicts in medical malpractice, products liability, and mesothelioma cases in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has forged new law in both the trial and appellate court levels in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. Cohan was voted 2013 Lawyer of the Year in Mass Tort Litigation and Class Actions by Philadelphia's Best Lawyers®, and he was named one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Pennsylvania by Super Lawyers®.

PTLA is one of the oldest and largest regional trial lawyer associations in America. The Trial Lawyers Association's mission is to protect the rights of all citizens, including injured victims, to full access to the civil justice system.
