FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE12/26/2005
Its now just about four weeks into the Canadian federal election campaign and the main party leaders have done very little to inspire the interest of Canadians in the upcoming Canadian federal election.
A recent report published on Canadian-issues.com revealed the level of voter apathy at one all candidates forum in Brandon. In total 25 people attended to open discussion forum
"Perhaps it is the holiday season, or more likely a belief that very little will change politically speaking as a result of the next election" noted Eric Koshinsky, publisher of Canadian-issues.com. "Regardless of the reasons, the politicians have done very little to capture the minds and imaginations of Canadians during this election."
As a way of turning things on their head a little, Canadian-issues.com has just released the first in a light-hearted series of publications designed to inform Canadians about why they should NOT vote for the various party leaders in the upcoming Canadian Election.
The first released in the series is titled:
“The top 10 reasons NOT to vote for Stephen Harper”
The currently released list takes aim at Stephen Harper and the conservative party of Canada. “While Harper certainly does offer lots of fodder to poke fun at (everything from bad hair to patronage appointments)”, said Koshinsky, “he was simply randomly pulled out of a hat to become the first to have his list published.”
Stated Koshinsky about the publications, "They (the lists) are intended to just poke fun at politicians and the Canadian political process. None of the Canadian political party leaders will be immune as we intend to publish top lists for each leader over the following weeks."
