May 31, 2014 - ORANGE, CA – American Advisors Group (AAG) today made a donation to the Fisher House Foundation Inc. charity in Rockville, MD to be allocated towards housing for veterans and their families. AAG has a longstanding history of charitable involvement, most notably with the Kwagala Project – a non-profit that provides support for victims of human trafficking in Africa and The Alzheimer's Association of Orange County. In the wake of a record breaking month in reverse mortgage loans, AAG decided to further spread goodwill and promote giving by donating to the Fisher House organization.
Reza Jahangiri, the president of American Advisors Group stated, "At AAG, we are about much more than just reverse mortgages - we want to help people in our immediate community and beyond. The Fisher House charity has been on our radar for a while as a worthy organization to support – particularly because the company's mission to provide a home for our nation's veterans aligns with our housing goals."
As a growing business in Southern California, AAG management seeks to underscore the importance of giving back to the now 800 employees working for the lender.
"Just as AAG seeks to keep seniors in their homes, Fisher House aims to put a roof over the heads of everyone in need. We share a similar mission," continued Jahangiri.
The donation was received by Fisher House the last week of May 2014, and is expected to help a significant number of families.
