Duke Manufacturing Co. Announces the Appointment of Kathy Veder to Vice President of Strategic National Accounts

St. Louis (May 9, 2014) – Duke Manufacturing Co. welcomes Kathy Veder, an industry executive leader and Certified Foodsevice Professional (CFSP). As the VP Strategic National Accounts, Kathy will lead and inspire Duke's high performance strategic chain accounts sales team designed to provide revenue growth through cutting edge solutions to key customers. Duke is positioned to provide innovative equipment solutions to meet today's foodservice challenges.

Kathy brings over 20 years of business expertise ranging from executive management, strategic planning, research and development, engineering, sales, to marketing and accounting/finance. In her previous position, she served as VP Global Accounts for Manitowoc and as Executive Vice President and CMO with other companies. Having implemented and managed a wholly owned Chinese manufacturing operation, her global knowledge and expertise will support Duke's production and international processes. Prior to her foodservice experience, Kathy was fast tracked by Owens-Illinois Inc. in their Controller training program. She held various accounting positions ranging from Assistant Controller, Cost & General Accounting Management and Business Analysis.

Kathy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Miami University (Dean's List, Alpha Lambda Delta, Student Senate). In addition, she attended MBA classes at Portland State University. Other professional qualifications include: Certified Six Sigma Red Belt and Servsafe Certified. She has served on the NAFEM/MAFSI Liaison committee contributing to the foodservice industry.

Kathy has a passion for volunteering and servant leadership. She has shared her time and skill sets by participating on the Board of Directors of the Preble County United Way, the Serenity House in Cincinnati and the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. In addition, she has been recognized and received several awards for her volunteer service work, most notably, the Big Brother / Big Sister of the Year Award, which she considers a great honor.
