2-Console LCD KVM Solution Provides Expandable and Efficient Server Room Management

The CL-1208 and CL-1216 Slideaway LCD KVM solutions incorporate an 8 and 16-port KVM switch in a Slideaway rack console with 15'' or 17'' high-resolution LCD monitor, keyboard and touchpad. Existing standard KVM installations can be controlled with the CL-1200 Slideaway LCD Console. With the compact Slideaway design, high density in less than 1U of rack space and enterprise-class features, the CL-1208, CL-1216 and CL-1200 are optimized for sophisticated server room management. ATEN’s unique dual console capability allows simultaneous server control from a second PS/2 console.

ATEN’s innovative Slideaway LCD KVM solutions are especially designed for the needs of enterprise customers who are looking for flexible, space saving and cost-effective server management solutions for their growing network environments. The CL-1208 and CL-1216 have built-in 8 and 16-port KVM switches, respectively, which enable administrators to daisy chain up to 31 additional KVM switches, allowing them to control up to 512 servers from a single 1U device. For those server rooms that already have ATEN’s KVM switches installed, the CL-1200 is a great add-on value that integrates seamlessly with the existing KVM switches and gives instant control over the installation from a compact, space saving Slideaway LCD Console.

The CL-1208, CL-1216 and CL-1200 offer the unique feature of dual console management. In addition to the integrated KVM console, the unit supports another PS/2 console connection that allows more adminstrators to manage any server on the KVM installation.

With the compact form factor and a sophisticated set of enterprise-class features ATEN’s Slideaway LCD KVM series perfectly fits in todays server room environments. The Slideaway module features a 15'' or 17'' high resolution LCD monitor, keyboard and touchpad, can be completely slide back into the rack and automatically falls into sleep mode when not in use. Ports can be easily selected through push buttons that are on the keyboard panel, or through hotkeys or On Screen Display (OSD) menu, while maintaining high resolution with the DDC emulation of the LCD monitor. The broadcast command allows the administrator to send commands to all servers on the installation for ease of management.
