Consonus Hires New Director of Sales

SALT LAKE CITY – December 2005 – Consonus, a market leader in managed IT services and data center facilities, today announced it has hired Jack McDonald as its director of sales.

McDonald will oversee Consonus’ sales department and will also contribute to its business development, both in Utah and on a national level.

“We were looking for an individual who had significant telecommunications and collocation experience,” said Daniel Milburn, chief operating officer of Consonus. “We also hoped to find someone who had a strong regional influence. Jack exceeds both of these criteria.”

Before coming to Consonus, McDonald successfully managed and led the sales and customer relations efforts of several local, regional and national communication companies. For example, he was previously employed as a senior account manager by McLeodUSA, where he was accountable for the direct sale of telecommunications services in Utah. Prior to that, as the vice president of sales for BroadBand Solutions, McDonald both led a team of sales personnel and managed the sales pipeline, forecasting, network deployment and customer service.

Previously, McDonald was director of sales for Beckstrand & Associates; a regional director of sales for Verado; director of sales, western region for Jato Communications; sales manager for Qwest Communications; general manager for Electric Lightwave Inc.; and sales and customer relations manager for Tel America.
