San Francisco, CA – March 19, 2014 – Pixtaword – an app that turns Instagram's extensive image library into an addictive word guessing game – has released a major new update that incorporates social sharing features into the program. This gives users the ability to share their game play socially on Facebook and Twitter in order to receive more in-game coins, which can then be used to help solve puzzles."Instagram has so many fun images that never get seen," says app developer Sujan Patel. "I knew there had to be a way to combine these pictures with the word guessing game experience that has been so popular among smartphone users lately. I'm excited that these new social sharing tools will take Pixtaword to the next level by allowing players to bring their friends into the game."
At each level of the game, players are presented with a collection of live Instagram pictures based around a shared hashtag, as well as a series of jumbled letters that form the hashtag. Coins are accrued by successfully solving puzzles or by sharing game progress online, and can then be used to reveal a letter in the puzzle, remove all incorrect letters from the level, or solve the puzzle and skip to the next level.
The free edition of Pixtaword lets users play levels at random, with Instagram hashtags including everything from a food dish, to a logo, to a famous face. Upgrading to the premium level enables the category challenge features, which lets users earn rewards for beating specific categories, including "Food," "Animals," "TV Characters" and many more.
Currently, the app boasts over 1,000 levels of game play with many more on the way. Both free and premium versions are available on the Google Play and iOS App Store marketplaces. Players who are looking for contagious fun should download the game from these listings or stop by the app's homepage at http://www.pixtaword.com/ for more details.
