Business is on a roll for Carver Europe Gmbh from Switzerland participating at the 8th Middle East International Motor Show organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre. The show ends on Friday, December 16.Dubbed the “most athletic car in the world”, Carver One is part car and part bike. Says Erwin Blomsma, Commercial Director, of the company, “The Carver One combines the luxury, safety and stability of a car with the excitement and dynamic behaviour of a bike to combine and make it better.”
“The Carver One has seen a tremendous response at the Motor Show and we are in the final stages of negotiations to sign a dealership. In fact, there are four of our cars on the Dubai roads bought by members of the royal family and friends,” says Blomsma.
The excitement for this car seems obvious considering that it can be beat traffic jams and is fuel-efficient too. Besides, it has an automatic tilting which uses the Dynamic Vehicle Control (DVC™) system.
In an ideal combination of speed, angle of tilt and front wheel angle this system will seek the optimum balance when cornering. The driver only needs to choose the direction and steer the wheel. Below 10 km/h and when reversing the tilting system is turned off and the vehicle remains upright.
The Carver One's sporty engine gives it just the right power in proportion to its weight, reaching a top speed of 185 km/h while its average fuel consumption remains at a very modest 6 L/100km.
Blomsma says, “It is perhaps the most advanced car at the Dubai Motor Show. It's three-wheel steering and tilting can corner like nothing else in the world.”
He says, “The Carver is very suitable for commuting (low running costs, easy parking, agile in traffic) but is also an ideal vehicle indeed for long and short (recreational and business) journeys. I live in The Netherlands but often go to Belgium in my Carver back home. It can do 800 km a day with its 68 hp engine.”
He adds, “To sum it up, it's a car that puts a smile on your face. Since it's such a pleasure to drive and onlookers always react to it. They smile, take pictures on their mobiles or just admire it.”
Check out the Carver One in Hall1 of the DICEC where the Dubai Motor Show takes place. Entry tickets to the show are priced at AED 15/- per person and the show remains open on Friday December 16th from 3.00 PM to 10.00 PM.
