Mr Bonx Gives Birth To www.mrbonx.com Without Medication
December 15, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Mr Bonx (real name Andrew Trigwell) suddenly realised in the late 1990s that, because his band played all original material, penned by the man himself, people were singing tunes in the street that he had written over the years. Audiences were coming to see him play live to hear the songs that he had written, and the only way they could do that, up to now, was for them to wait for his next gig.But now, with the advent of the Internet, everybody can have Mr Bonx in their living room, kitchen or bathroom at the click of a mouse.
The new website is much more than just MP3 downloads of his music. It also includes
- A selection of photos of gigs, friends and band members
- A ghost story
- Music reviews of his albums
- The monthly rant (a lot of silliness)
Bio:
Andrew began playing professionally at 16 with London-based jazz fusion band, Anerley Park. He then joined East Grinstead band Karma, gigging extensively during the 1980s. He later played with The Bullfrogs, a nine-piece blues band. He has since recorded 2 albums: The Rough with the Smooth (with sleeve notes written by Nick van Eede of Cutting Crew) in 1998, and Never Mind the Ballads in 2000. Mr Bonx’s plans for 2006/7 include a blinding new single to be produced by Giles Twigg, his band back on the road and to reach as many people as possible with his unhinged blend of humour, loud rock music and downright honesty. His live act is certainly an experience, with influences unashamedly drawn from Frank Zappa and Alice Cooper. It is not just music – it is a bit of theatre too, and Mr Bonx is not just a rock musician – he’s a tangible character!
