Falcon Mini Zip Line Trolley Rolls Out of IAPA Conference With "Best Product of 2013" Award

January 21, 2014 - The Falcon Mini™ a competitively priced zip line trolley that features a "no-rollback" safety feature, won the "Best Product of 2013" Award from the European IAPA (International Adventure Park Association) at its annual conference in Berlin on November 15, 2013.

The IAPA Award was presented to BORNACK GmbH & Co. KG, of Heilbronn, Germany, which has the European sales rights for the Falcon Mini™. Ropes Park Equipment, the United States company that introduced this innovative trolley earlier in 2013, sells it the USA and elsewhere outside Europe worldwide.

Since its introduction at the ACCT (American Association For Challenge Course Technology) Expo in February of 2013, zip line and adventure park professionals both in Europe and the United States have hailed the Falcon Mini™ for its competitive price and innovative design. Its features promote both safety and zip line course efficiency.

One of the dangers in the canopy tour and other zip line businesses is the rollback phenomenon when some zip line customers fail to reach the platform, rolling back onto the line, causing a potentially dangerous situation if another customer is also on the line. Rolling back also requires additional time and effort to retrieve the customer, slowing down throughput. Until the introduction of the Falcon Mini™ the only trolleys with an anti rollback feature could cost thousands of dollars. The Falcon Mini™ sells for a fraction of that.

Made from high gauge stainless steel, the Falcon Mini™ trolley features a unique, ergonomic design that can handle speeds up to 70 miles per hour. It retails for around $350 U.S.

Designed for midsize zip lines of up to 2,000 feet, it is optimized to work well with or without external braking mechanisms such as the zipSTOP. The Falcon Mini™ will accommodate a secondary pulley and can be used with or without handles.
