PPM Gives Back For The Holiday Season

January 9, 2014 - 'It's better to give than receive," as the saying goes and we believe that Planned Property Management has some of Chicago's most generous residents. We are committed to giving back to our community and neighborhoods where we own and operate 28 Chicago apartment buildings and high-rises.

Throughout 2013, we partnered with a number of organizations that are making a difference around our neighborhoods. Every time we presented a new need we as a company wanted to meet, our residents rallied alongside us and responded in ways that exceeded our expectations.

Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago

Over 130,000 people in Chicago are impacted by epilepsy, and the Epilepsy Foundation of Chicago leads the fight to stop seizures, find a cure, and overcome challenges created by epilepsy. PPM has a longstanding partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago, and throughout the year our residents open their hearts [and their closets!] to help support the Foundation. Every month, PPM has hosted clothing drives and residents have generously donated used clothing which is in turn sold by the Epilepsy Foundation at the Savers Discount Stores in Chicagoland. All of the proceeds from the sale of those items goes directly to support the work of Epilepsy Foundation. This year alone, PPM residents have donated over 13 tons of clothing to the Epilepsy Foundation!

Lakeview Pantry

The Lakeview Pantry serves over 12,000 individuals and families that are suffering from food insecurity. Through their distribution centers and home visits, they are working to ensure that no one goes hungry. Throughout the month of December, PPM has hosted a Food Drive to help stock the shelves at the Lakeview Pantry. Planned Property Management committed to matching whatever our residents donated and this holiday we were able to donate over 1 TON of food to the Lakeview Pantry. That donation is one of the single largest donations that the Lakeview Pantry receives every year!
