Clark Testing Receives ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation for EMC/EMI Laboratory

Clark Testing, an equipment qualification and testing center, has been awarded ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for its EMC/EMI testing lab, achieving one of the most highly regarded laboratory standards throughout the international community. The accreditation program that vetted Clark Testing's EMC/EMI lab was the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), administered by the National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST). Laboratory accreditation programs are designed to satisfy unique testing and calibration needs for specific fields. To earn accreditation, organizations voluntarily undergo a third-party review, which examines a laboratory's quality management system to ensure technical competence and accurate test data as required by the international standard, ISO/IEC 17025:2005. Laboratories must demonstrate that they follow the proper methodology and protocols for different testing procedures. The 2005 standard is the most recent update for ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, replacing the original 1999 standard with language that more closely aligned with ISO 9001:2000.
Clark Testing's EMC/EMI laboratory provides testing, measurements, and design consulting for the aerospace, automotive, electronics, heavy equipment, medical, military, nuclear, power generation, transportation, and telecom industries. ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation provides recognition for the high standards and quality output that Clark Testing maintains within its EMC/EMI laboratory. Clark Testing will also undergo periodic reviews from NVLAP to ensure that it continues to adhere to the full accreditation standards. Laboratory clients will benefit by enjoying greater access for their products across domestic and international markets as well as potential cost-savings from a reduced or eliminated need for re-testing.
