Hertz Furniture and Hygloss Products Announce Classroom Supplies Contest

All K-12 teachers are invited to enter by completing an online form and writing a short paragraph on: "Why You Should Stock My Classroom Supply Closet."

The contest, which begins on November 14 and runs through December 31, 2013, is Hertz Furniture's latest initiate to give something back to teachers across America. The lucky winner will walk away with a Sandusky Lee Storage Closet valued at up to $360 from Hertz Furniture, as well as $250 worth of educational craft supplies from Hygloss Products.

According to studies conducted by the National School Supply and Equipment Association (NSSEA) and others, teachers in the United States pay for 87% of their classroom supplies from their own money, spending an average of $945 out-of-pocket annually on school supplies and instructional materials.
