MV Transportation Contract in Tulsa Renewed

DALLAS (October 31, 2013) – Today, MV Transportation, Inc., announced it has been selected to continue the paratransit and fixed night line transportation service in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Awarded by the Metropolitan Tulsa Transit Authority's (MTTA's) Board of Trustees, the new contract covers a base period of three years with two (2) additional one-year renewal options.

Under the terms of the contract, MV will continue to manage the transit operations, which includes the training and safety functions. The service will be provided using a client-furnished fleet of 50 vehicles. MV will employ approximately 80 professional operators and staff to run the transit operation.

MV has operated the Tulsa paratransit and fixed night line service since 2009. Together, MV and the MTTA have instituted a number of initiatives to improve safety, efficiency and customer service. During the new contract term, MV plans to implement a new Secret Rider program in an effort to continuously look for ways to improve the customer experience. In addition, MV plans to establish new wellness programs in support of its dedicated employees.
