The Scientology Volunteer Ministers of Pondicherry, India

Pondicherry, India, a former French colony on the subcontinent, has long been known as "the French Riviera of the East." But last December this once-beautiful resort was hit by the tsunamis, which left the entire area devastated

It was then that a group of FrenchScientologists arrived to help the survivors put their lives back together.

But once the immediate disaster relief was done, this team of Scientology Volunteer Ministers (http://www.volunteerministers.org) decided to carry on with their work. Their group has grown, with local residents who have trained in the tools provided in the Scientology Handbook (http://www.scientologyhandbook.org) joining the team. The Volunteer Ministers are providing basic Scientology and Dianetics training and counseling to help people overcome the trauma they experienced and rebuild their lives.
Last week they helped a woman who had been in her grandson's house when the tsunami hit. She was mauled by the wave, losing one of her eyes. Her son, her two daughters, her brother and niece all died. She was still suffering from the loss last week, when she was offered counseling by the Volunteer Ministers. Here is what she wrote after the counseling.
"I suffered a lot due to the tsunami. I just receive a Dianetics session and thanks to this session I'm free from my mental stress and fearless."
Scientology Volunteer Ministers welcome the help of any person of goodwill no matter their creed, and will train volunteers in the technology, developed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, that is so effective not only in helping people recover from trauma but to improve so many other conditions in life.
