Dandridge, TN - Nominations began in late November for the first ever Homeschool Blogger Awards. Karen Braun, known in the blogosphere as “SpunkyHomeschool”, devised the concept of hosting a homeschool blogger contest. The contest serves as a way of drawing attention to many of the wonderful homeschool blogs that are out there and to acknowledge the time, effort and creativity that the bloggers put into their projects. Sponsored by The Old Schoolhouse Magazine and HomeschoolBlogger.com, the contest is open to any parent homeschooling their children and homeschooled students.Contest categories are:

Nominations can be made by posting a comment at http://www.HomeschoolBlogger.com/SpunkyHomeschool/49114 or by emailing nominations to blogawards2005@gmail.com. Nominations will remain open until December 11, with voting to begin December 12 and go through Christmas. The winners will receive an award button for their blog, a subscription to The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, and inclusion in Spunky's column for the Spring 2006 issue of TOS.
