Announcing New ZVT™ Clutch From ZOOM Performance Products

TIMMONSVILLE, SC – ZOOM® Performance Clutches is proud to introduce ZOOM Variable Torque (ZVT™) clutches for Ford and Dodge diesel trucks.

Patent pending ZVT™ clutches add clamp load by applying centrifugal force to the pressure plate as RPM of the engine increases. Each unit is designed with consideration to the application’s peak torque RPM range. Additional clamp loads of over 700 pounds can be achieved within these ranges. With a ZVT™ cover assembly, one can expect torque handling gains of 300 lb-ft or more with organic friction material and well over 600 lb-ft with ceramic button friction materials. The main benefit, other than more clamp load and torque handling ability, is the clutch pedal will feel stock and will not overload clutch release systems or engine thrust bearings.

Plans are currently in the works to extend this new technology into the Mustang and Sport Compact markets.
