Can you really lose weight during sleep?
Losing weight often is seen as a work of tremendous willpower. This notion unfortunately works against every weight-loss efforts. Stopping this self-sabotaging thinking, however, is easy.
With millions of Americans overweight and diets and exercising machines promising instant results, most overweight people still remain overweight. They restrict their food intake, try the latest exercising machines with the single result of being exhausted and giving up early. This raises a single question: Why?
Jane Fielden was your average mother-of-three and has been overweight for years. All the hard work of dieting didn't pay off. It was a struggle without results. Her final realization came when she learned to drop the idea that losing weight had to be a major struggle. Giving up the idea that she had to remain overweight and that weight loss required almost superhuman ambition is something which nobody even considers. It is hard. It requires work. That's the common belief about weight loss.
But what if that's wrong? What if all that hard work and sacrifice are not necessary. Everyone knows at least one person who can eat everything she wants and yet remain slim. But instead of finding out what this person does, it is ascribed to lucky genes. But Deborah Kerslake, the person who worked with Jane on her overweight problem, states that this is the problem. What if being slim can actually be learned?
