Santa Barbara, CA – August 10, 2013 - Merryl Brown Events, an award-winning Santa Barbara wedding planning, social event planning, and corporate event planning company, is pleased to announce the addition of Kathryn J. Edwards as Senior Project Manager. The event management company believes that Ms. Edwards' in-depth background and experience will add to its ability to bring an unparalleled creativity, a passion for excellence and an unrivaled attention to detail to every event it produces.

Ms. Edwards has a BFA in Directing from the University of Michigan, where she honed her skills in logistics and management. She comes to the event production company from a position at The White House, where she worked as an Advance Associate. She traveled both domestically and abroad, coordinating events for the President and Vice President. While working in that role, she oversaw the production and coordination of massive rallies, high dollar fundraisers, and diplomatic trips. Edwards has also worked as an independent political consultant and researcher. Prior to that, she worked as Advance Staff during the 2008 presidential campaign and coordinated press logistics for events across the United States.
